Trump Says U.S. Military Excelled, Talks with Iran Ongoing

U.S. President Donald Trump praised the American military, saying it has performed exceptionally well. He also confirmed that Iran seeks a deal and that diplomatic talks with Tehran are ongoing to resolve tensions peacefully.

In remarks to the media, Trump said that if he had not been elected president, the United States would have faced serious threats. He claimed that his administration removed criminals and violent individuals from the country to maintain national security.

He further criticized past policies that allowed dangerous individuals to enter the U.S. and emphasized that the government objects to anyone committing crimes within the country. Trump reiterated that the military’s efforts have been vital in protecting America and supporting diplomatic channels with Iran.

Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio noted after a G7 foreign ministers’ meeting in France that the U.S. can achieve objectives in Iran without deploying ground troops. He suggested that the conflict may end in weeks rather than months.

Rubio added that even with military goals achieved, keeping the Strait of Hormuz open remains an urgent challenge. Therefore, Trump emphasized that the U.S. military has excelled and that diplomatic talks with Tehran are ongoing, maintaining both security and diplomacy.
